What works better, exercise or healthy eating? Most people that I’ve heard from want to know if they should do one or the other. Well, there isn’t a clear answer. You should do a bit of both.
It doesn’t matter how well you eat, if you aren’t burning whatever calories you do bring in, it’s not going to help. And the same goes with the other side too. If you eat a million calories, you won’t be burning that off any time soon.
1. Caloric intake stuff
The reason why calories are important is it’s the energy that the body needs. Calories are basically what make your body run. It’s our fuel! So you need that. But you don’t need too much. To burn off the extra amounts you need to work out or exercise.
Now that we’ve gone over calories in a very brief but elegant (lol) manner, you can understand how exercise comes into this. If you don’t burn off those calories, you will be racking on pounds. And if you don’t exercise enough, they’ll just stay there.
2. Exercise
There are tons of programs out there like the P90x diet that can help, so I won’t focus on this too much. It doesn’t have to be some dieting program though. For example, you can simply take a daily jog / walk, or play some tennis / soccer / football. Whatever you find fun!
3. Cutting down on what you eat
Here’s the part that people don’t like. They love their food! Don’t take it from me! That’s generall the consensus, is it not? However… It doesn’t have to be that bad. Just eat a bit less each time you eat. Also, eat more times throughout the day. These two combined will help. Then you can really start looking at fat loss dieting that can help ya out.
Special Tip: Eat more often. If you eat more often, your metabolism will speed up and you will drop some weight if you can keep it up. Plus, you’ll eat smaller portions which will keep you fuller for a longer part of the day, so that you don’t get really hungry and eat a giant cow!
